Mammary carcinoma

7,12-dimethylbenz[a]anthracene (DMBA) is able to induce a mammary carcinoma in rats. This model is considered to resemble well human breast cancer, since the blood vessels and lymphoduct surrounding the tumor tissue resemble those in human breast cancer.

Our DMBA induced mammary carcinoma model is used to asses the anti-cancer efficacy of new compounds.

Acute or chronic skin inflammation

12-O-tetradecanoylphorbol-13-acetate (TPA) applied on mouse ear is able to induce an acute inflammatory reaction with erythema, edema and leucocyte infiltration. Repeated applications of TPA lead to prolonged inflammatory reaction with increase in ear weight, epidermal hyperplasia.

Our TPA induced skin inflammation model is used to asses the anti-inflammatory efficacy of new compounds and formulations.

Bleeding time test

Mice tail transection induced bleeding mimics the bleeding observed in clinical conditions and allows the assessment of the new compounds efficacy in blood clotting.
